Simplifying School Donation Claims for Parents

I am a St Hilda’s student in Year 12, and I have created DonateMate for my Young Enterprise business this year. It helps parents claim back the money they are entitled to from the IRD on donations made to their children’s schools. Many parents are unaware of this opportunity, and I wanted to provide an easy-to-follow digital PDF guide that takes them step by step through the process. With the financial strain many families are facing today, this guide aims to put money back into the hands of parents who may otherwise miss out. Once parents complete the guide, they’re invited to leave a voluntary koha (donation), with 50% of profits going to Cure Kids to support life-saving medical research. My goal is to make the process simple, stress-free and accessible, while also giving back to whānau in need.
